We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager for our shipping and logistics company in City of Industry CA 91476.
Job Duties Include:
- Efficiently and effectively scheduling, leading, and managing the warehouse team
- Supervising warehouse team and/or directly loading and unloading containers if needed
- Supervising warehouse team and/or directly separating incoming shipments with team
- Supervising and/or directly sorting, labeling, and palletizing shipments
- Supervising other labor involved in warehousing and shipping
- Lead the floor team to process incoming shipments according to the Shipping team’s instructions.
- Organize warehouse workflow (daily, weekly) to be optimized and efficient.
- Train other warehouse employees as needed.
- Manage warehouse team schedules and tasks to ensure all shipments are prepared, packed and shipped on time.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving documentation with the Shipping Team
- Organize and manage warehouse inventory
- Lead team in labeling, sorting, picking and packing jobs as needed
- Manage maintenance and repair needs for the warehouse, warehouse equipment, and facility.
- Improve our workflow to ensure highest accuracy and organization for all warehouse procedures and activities
- Manage our e-commerce type activities including sorting, picking, labeling, packing, and documenting shipments for loose parcel or freight shipping
- Find ways to improve our business operations on the top line and bottom line
Responsibilities: The warehouse manager is responsible for:
- Managing the Floor Supervisor as well as the warehouse floor team with daily workflow
- Ensuring that our warehouse employees follow proper safety procedures
- Ensure our workspace is organized and clean to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage inbound and outbound containers and verifying that they contain the right items and all shipping forms are filled correct and filed appropriately.
- Review and ensure all bills of ocean freight, air cargo, and other related invoices are accurately processed in time
- Find ways to improve our organization's efficiency and accuracy in workflow procedures or practices
- Good working knowledge of WMS software, good computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to give instructions to warehouse team and lead as floor manager
- Experience scheduling work team for maximum efficiency with daily, weekly workloads
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in warehouse and logistics management
- 5+ years in warehouse operations with demonstrated proficiency in loading, unloading, palletizing, picking, sorting, loose loading, live loading, forklift and cherry picker.
- High attention to details and accuracy in reviewing, preparing and signing off on shipping documents
- Total proficiency with computers, data entry and checking, documentation, email, scanning, logging, Excel, and other computer based activities.
- Bilingual is a plus – Chinese, Spanish, English
- Clear verbal and written communications
