Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant or Registered Nurse First Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This person will assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons and complete closures for the surgeons .
Duties:
First Assist on larger Orthopedic cases to include: Total Joints, ACL's, Shoulder arthroscopies, Fracture cases, some foot/ankle and hand cases as needed.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to assist in complex surgeries
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy to anticipate surgeons' needs
- Familiarity with critical care and acute care settings
- Understanding of infection control protocols
- Proficiency in Suturing/ Dressing surgical wounds independently
- Proficiency in handling medical records accurately
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices
