Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Insulation Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience selling residential insulation services, knowledge of Puget Sound Energy (PSE) insulation rebate programs, and an understanding of mold remediation solutions. This individual will conduct in-home consultations, educate homeowners on energy efficiency and indoor air quality, prepare accurate estimates, and guide customers through the sales process from inspection to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through door-to-door canvassing, referrals, networking, and self-generated leads.
- Perform comprehensive home inspections to assess attic, crawlspace, wall, and floor insulation needs.
- Identify moisture issues and potential mold concerns, recommending appropriate mold remediation and prevention solutions.
- Educate homeowners on the benefits of insulation upgrades, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and moisture control.
- Prepare accurate estimates and customized proposals for insulation and mold remediation services.
- Explain and process PSE insulation rebates, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in accordance with program guidelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, office staff, and installation crews to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales, installation, and rebate process.
- Develop long-term customer relationships that generate referrals and repeat business.
- Accurately document customer interactions, estimates, and sales activities using CRM software.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills across the board — listening attentively and explaining options clearly to homeowners, and coordinating professionally with project managers, office staff, and installation crews to keep every project on track.
- 2+ years of experience in insulation, restoration, construction, or home improvement sales.
- Proven experience with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) insulation rebate programs and rebate processing.
- Knowledge of residential insulation systems, ventilation, air sealing, and energy efficiency practices.
- Understanding of mold remediation, moisture intrusion, and indoor environmental concerns.
- Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Experience using CRM software, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Door-to-door or in-home sales experience.
- Experience in restoration, water damage, mold remediation, or environmental services.
- Knowledge of Washington State building codes and insulation standards.
- IICRC certifications (preferred but not required).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
