Creative Steps is looking for Direct Support Coaches who are:

Qualities and skills displayed by Creative Steps Direct Support Coaches:
- Conscientious : Strong work ethic, caring, intuitive, and empathetic, punctual, consistent attendance
- Detail-oriented : Accurately and reliably document daily activities of individuals
- Creative : Focused, open to learning, able to multitask in a variety of situations
- Team Player: Ability to work in a collaborative environment, with Program Manager, Supervisors, co-workers, families and the client’s circle of support
- Patient: Ability to be understanding and flexible with client, co-workers and families of Clients
- Good communication: Good communicator and listener [both verbal and non-verbal communication]
- Flexible: Ability to be flexible with unexpected changes in client schedules or other program changes
**A Background or coursework in any of the following fields is especially useful: kinesiology/exercise, CNA, applied behavior analysis, psychology, education.
Additional Information:
- Caring for Clients: Many of the adults in our program require direct physical support to complete daily living activities and personal care tasks, including assistance with walking, personal hygiene, and toileting. Coaches must be willing to work with, or willing to be trained to work with, any adult who may need assistance in these areas.
- Paid training time: $20.22 an hour
- Hours per week: Max 29.6 hours
- Schedule: Mon - Fri 9:00am - 2:55pm, (may vary depending on specific client needs)

Experience and Requirements:
- In-home or care giving for adults with disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Required)
- Must reside within a 30 - 40-minute commute to the Agoura Hills or Westlake Village/ Thousand Oaks areas.
- Comfortable standing majority of the shift.
