American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and rotating day/night shifts.

Work in the Heart and Vascular Thoracic Institute (HVTI) Step-Down unit of a large academic hospital campus
-
Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
-
Rotating day/night shifts: days 7:00am–7:30pm and nights 7:00pm–7:30am

Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week

Shift times may vary based on operational needs of the facility

Active OH RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand

Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down or a closely related specialty prior to travel

Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience (travel experience counts toward this requirement)

PCU/progressive care experience preferred

A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

Two professional references are required for consideration

ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required to proceed

Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
