Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a focus on customer service, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving cargo. The ideal candidate will possess strong route driving skills, experience with warehouse operations, and a commitment to timely deliveries that uphold our company's reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to complete scheduled deliveries
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques
- Ensure accurate loading of goods according to delivery manifests and company standards
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after trips
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
- Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and moving stock within the facility
- Collaborate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate schedules and resolve delivery issues
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload cargo safely
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, preferably with courier or route driving background
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory for all roles
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions
- Strong knowledge of driving safety regulations and traffic laws
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina for long hours on the road and manual handling tasks
