About the Role:
Craft Loft is an arts & craft store plus studio that offers arts and crafts activities and workshops. We are looking for people-oriented and reliable candidates to join the team as a Store Associate!
The Store Associate facilitates our walk-in studio experiences and retail offerings by engaging with customers in a welcoming and friendly environment. You are an integral part of providing a high-quality customer experience and making long lasting relationships with clients and community!
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional Customer Service to new and returning customers
- Assist with setup and cleanup of workshops and private events
- Ring out retail customers on POS
- Maintain a clean, bright and welcoming store atmosphere
- Assist Store Manager with opening and/or closing procedures, taking inventory, receiving new products, pricing, labeling and restocking
- Assist with creating exciting decor and signage
- Hosting workshops in arts and crafts (training is provided, but prior experience and interest is a plus)
Location and Commitment:
- Store location is in the Burlington Mall, Burlington, MA
- This position is Part-Time, but Full-time position is possible for the right candidate
- The Store's Hours of Operation are:
Monday - Thursday - 10am - 8pm
Friday - Saturday - 10am - 9pm
Sunday - 11am to 6pm
Holiday and special events may go as late as 9:30pm
Ideal candidates should have:
- Availability on at least 2 weekdays, and at least 1 weekend day
- Must be available beyond the summer and during holiday season (Nov 15 - Dec 27)
- Must be at least 21yrs old.
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Outgoing and a general 'people person'
- A desire and experience to be creative via arts and crafts
- Teaching or experience presenting in front of a group is a plus.
- Interest in hosting events is a plus.
- Improv, theater or performance experience are a plus
- Prior retail experience not required, but recommended
- Reliable commute to Burlington is a must (ideally not relying on public transportation)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
