Sustaining Engineering Team Leader

Responsibilities of the Sustaining Engineering Team Leader
- Lead and mentor a team of sustaining engineers in design, and technical staff to resolve technical issues in existing products and systems
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for field failures, manufacturing issues, and design improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to ensure product reliability and performance
- Manage engineering change processes and documentation to support product lifecycle management
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and problem-solving, especially in mechanical systems involving combustion or refrigeration
- Support cost reduction initiatives, supplier changes, and component obsolescence management
- Drive all sustaining activities and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications of the Sustaining Engineering Team Leader
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering role, preferably in sustaining or product support
- Proven experience with combustion systems, chiller systems, or related complex mechanical systems preferred
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
