Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and attention to detail. We are a busy private practice which includes Otolaryngology (ENT), Audiology, and Sleep Medicine. The right candidate would be required to assist the providers in procedures, scribing chart notes, processing orders for medical equipment such as CPAP machines & supplies, as well as routine medical assistant tasks such as rooming patients & autoclaving instruments etc. Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment with multiple providers.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment.
- Scribe/record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic health records.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Process some authorizations for medical equipment & supplies.
- Autoclave instruments and maintain exam rooms stocked/clean.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology & anatomy.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent customer service & communication skills .
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
