The Tradeshow Warehouse Associate must be self-motivated, able to build strong working relationships, communicate clearly, and efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. We seek an organized, detail-oriented candidate with the ability to handle various projects and support all aspects of our client’s trade show exhibits at our Columbia, MD warehouse.
Role Summary:
This hands-on warehouse position focuses primarily on order fulfillment, shipping / receiving, and inventory management. You will also be instrumental in warehouse organization, supporting exhibit fabrication, and the installation or dismantling of event displays.
Working closely with operations and production leadership, this role involves preparing and packing shipments, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely order completion.
The ideal candidate possesses physical dexterity, proficiency with hand tools, and the ability to accurately follow detailed pull lists and build plans. This position requires an energetic, team-oriented individual who is prepared to thrive in a fast-paced event production environment.
Ideal candidates should have basic computer skills for inventory and shipping tasks. Responsibilities may include:
- Organizing, preparing, and packing scenic components, hardware, and event equipment.
- Helping with inventory management and pulling materials under guidance.
- Installing and dismantling exhibits.
- Setting up displays for client previews.
- Fulfilling orders.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Managing shipping and receiving.
- Performing cycle counts and tracking inventory.
- Maintaining and managing exhibit assets.
- Making sure all daily activities meet industry safety standards and comply with OSHA guidelines.
- Computer skills required to include but not limited to use of Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel…) and Google suite.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Logistics Support
- Organize, prep, and pack exhibit items, hardware, and equipment.
- Load/unload trucks and move equipment in the warehouse and on-site.
- Pull, count and prepare client inventory to prepare for events.
Fabrication & Shop Work
- Build, assemble, paint, repair, and prep scenic elements, props, and décor.
- Operate saws, drills, and shop tools to modify components.
- Support test fitting and mock-ups before events.
- Keep the shop clean, safe, and organized.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrated dependability, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities, teamwork skills, and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends on an as needed basis.
- Capability to operate a forklift (training provided as needed).
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools (e.g., saws, drills).
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in events, tradeshows, theater, scenic fabrication, construction, or warehouse settingsFamiliarity with interpreting build drawings or setup instructions (design experience not required).
- Background in inventory management systems, including implementing and optimizing solutions to track stock levels, streamline warehouse operations, and support accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Experience in carpentry, fabrication shop, or stagehand roles.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
