Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our production processes. Responsibilities
1) Reads and understands the specifications or blueprints for the work to be done and plans the steps to be taken to complete the project.
2) Uses extensive knowledge of available materials and the latest technologies to plan and select the material and tools to be used for the project.
3) Shapes the material by cutting, drilling, boring, turning, milling, and grinding.
4) Finishes and assembles parts by hand and uses scribers, gauges, and other instruments to achieve accuracy.
Remains up-to-date on information about new technology in materials, methods and equipment.
Education:
Must have at least a high school diploma or GED certificate. Vocational training is preferred
Licenses/Certificates:
· Machinist certification (e.g., CNC Machining) is desired.
Experience:
· Prefer someone with 5 years of experience as machinist.
Skills:
· Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels, educational background, etc., are essential.
· Good math and reasoning abilities are essential. Must be able to understand and utilize engineering drawings, operating manuals, and blueprints to conduct business.
Physical Demands:
Ability to communicate orally with management and coworkers is important. Regular use of a variety of machines and tools is essential. Standing for extended periods is common.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents, manuals and drawings.
Some heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally is required. Good manual dexterity for the use of mechanical equipment such as drills, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machines or measuring tools is required.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
