Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment used in food processing and packaging, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures
- Follow strict FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure food safety and quality
- Assist in sanitation efforts by cleaning production areas, equipment, and tools regularly to meet hygiene standards
- Monitor production lines for consistency, quality, and safety, making adjustments as needed under supervision
- Package finished products accurately according to specifications, labeling, and packaging guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, including batch numbers, inspection logs, and sanitation schedules
- Support inventory management by handling raw materials and finished goods with mechanical knowledge of equipment and storage systems
Skills
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and CGMP practices related to food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures within a food industry environment
- Mechanical aptitude for operating basic machinery and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements, weights, and inventory counts
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus for handling raw materials or finished products safely
- Familiarity with food processing plant operations and manufacturing workflows
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards
