Overview
Family Peace Initiative is looking for a highly organized and self-motivated individual with experience in serving youth who will be responsible for the Family Engagement coordination role regarding the Shawnee County FPI Youth Initiative Program. This position includes working with youth and families across community and institutional settings, including youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
In order to be successful in this position you should be detail-oriented, professional, a strong team player and have excellent written and communication skills.
Duties:
Responsible for the Parent Support Groups
Support families and youth by scheduling and conducting orientations with parents
Facilitate both parent and youth groups in community
Facilitate structured group programming for institutionalized youth, including those
in detention or residential placements
Perform administrative tasks (attendance, recordkeeping)
Provide training in our program approach and curriculum
Make monthly contact calls
Meet with families and youth as needed
Provide resources to families
Coordinate community events
Work closely with other staff
Communicate professionally with referral sources
Ensure outcome data is gathered and entered into Smartsheet
Other duties as assigned
Experience
2 or more years experience providing services to youth
Prior group facilitation skills
Experience or familiarity with working with institutionalized or juvenile justice–involved youth
Familiarity with the juvenile justice system
Must have college degree in a helping profession; masters preferred
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to timely complete tasks
Must be able to pass a criminal history check
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $49,144.50 - $59,184.78 per year
