As our client’s next Corporate Controller, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, stewardship, and execution. As Corporate Controller, you’ll need to have a strict eye for detail and strong leadership skills, as you’ll be directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records, guide finance decisions by enforcing policies and procedures, protect assets by establishing and enforcing internal controls. Here, you’ll be responsible for all audits, including financial, overhead, DCAA, AASHTO, and retirement plan audits. You’ll also monitor and confirm financial conditions, prepare budgets by establishing schedules, and achieve budget objects by scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances.
In this role, you’ll need to be in the loop on changing information and trends, as you’ll be responsible for complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements, as well as anticipating future legislation and advising management on needed actions. You’ll establish preventative maintenance requirements and service contracts, recruit and train new financial employees, and coach and counsel tenured financial employees on operational changes.
Success in this role requires someone with strong numeracy skills and be able to keep financial information and plans confidential. Those with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills will thrive here.
This is a fully-time hybrid role at our client’s beautiful riverfront office, where you’ll be working a 9/80 schedule.
