Overview:
Performs Ultrasound studies for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement and initiative.
Additional Essential Job Functions:

Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately

Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks

Assist during exams, treatments and procedures, including chaperoning correlating findings with procedure being performed and ensuring Time-Out observed on appropriate procedures according to policy

Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IV's

Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures

Demonstrate ability to perform laboratory Quality Controls and Assessments, and routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and function according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure

Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and Par levels meet facility needs

Participates in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards

Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures

Prepare patient meals as needed in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols

Attends and participates in all applicable facility meetings,'training and development workshops

Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
-
Successful completion of an Ultrasound training program.

Extensive prior work experience as an ultrasound Technologist may be substituted for formal education.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
-
Requires ultrasound registry by ARDMS or ARRT (Ultrasound) AND
-
Vascular registry by ARDMS, ARRT or CCI.

Holds current BLS certification.
