~~Private Mental Health Company has an opening for a Registered Nurse (RN).~~
Lifetime Living serves individuals with Special Needs who reside in our community. The current opening is for a full-time, salaried position, RN. This position does require some supervisory duties to include managing & supervising Licensed Vocational Nurses. RN is also responsible for the oversight of nursing department operations. Nursing Case Management duties such as development, maintenance, review & follow up on patient/client documentation is also required. Providing light patient/client care and overall patient/client health monitoring are also part of the duties.
Additional RN Duties include:
- development & completion of the initial and annual renewal RN comprehensive nursing assessments;
- completion of RN delegations to unlicensed personnel (instructing, supervising or verifying the competency of an unlicensed person in the performance of a task delegated in accordance with rules of the Texas Board of Nursing at 22 TAC, Chapter 225);
- post-hospitalization visits/assessments;
- interacting with a patient/client including: ◦preparing and administering medication or treatment ordered by a physician; ◦assessing the patient/client's health status, including conducting a focused assessment or an RN assessment;
- researching medical information for a patient/client including: ◦reviewing documents to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the medical treatment the patient/client is receiving;
- training/instructing the patient/client's caregivers on how to perform nursing tasks;
- interacting with the patient/client's caregivers regarding the health status of an patient/client;
- weekly billing quota of 20-25 hours minimum

Position: Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. · Primarily home and community-based, with occasional visits to community outings and other Lifetime Living office or Centers. · Direct care with individuals with IDD and/or behavioral health crisis management and use of deescalation techniques as needed · Fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring flexibility to occasionally work outside normal scheduled hours. · Collaborative environment working closely with team members, case managers. · Mostly indoor environment, depending on function needs. · Can be fast paced, with frequent interruptions.
