Grace and Mercy Establishment is seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Qualified Professional (QP) to join our CABHA Child & Adolescent Day Treatment Program.
The QP will be an important part of our clinical team and will work directly with children and young adults ages 5–20 who have behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. We are looking for someone who can provide structure, support therapeutic programming, oversee appropriate documentation, and help ensure services are delivered according to agency, Medicaid, CABHA, and North Carolina requirements.

Monday through Friday
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
This is an in-person position in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Qualified Professional oversight and support for the Day Treatment program.
- Work directly with children and young adults ages 5–20.
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment goals and interventions.
- Facilitate and support structured therapeutic groups and skill-building activities.
- Monitor participants' progress, behaviors, needs, and responses to interventions.
- Provide guidance and supervision to paraprofessional staff as assigned.
- Work closely with therapists, the Clinical Director, medical providers, administrative staff, families, schools, and other members of the treatment team.
- Participate in treatment planning and Person-Centered Plan (PCP) development and updates as appropriate.
- Ensure services are consistent with each participant's treatment plan.
- Complete and review required clinical documentation accurately and on time.
- Assist with maintaining Medicaid-compliant records and documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and case reviews.
- Assist with crisis prevention, de-escalation, and appropriate behavioral interventions.
- Communicate significant incidents and concerns promptly to agency leadership and the clinical team.
- Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
- Follow Grace and Mercy Establishment policies and procedures and applicable CABHA, Medicaid, and North Carolina requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) requirements applicable to the behavioral health services provided.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a human services or related field.
- Appropriate combination of education and qualifying professional experience to meet QP requirements.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or young adults with behavioral or mental health needs.
- Experience with Medicaid-funded behavioral health services preferred.
- Day Treatment, Intensive In-Home, community mental health, school-based mental health, or similar experience is a plus.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the established Monday–Friday schedule.

Grace and Mercy Establishment's YOUth Culture Club provides structured behavioral health programming designed to support children and young adults while strengthening emotional regulation, coping skills, social skills, communication, and overall functioning.
Pay: $25.08 - $30.21 per hour
