Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional grooming services while ensuring the comfort and safety of pets. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of pets through grooming, bathing, and styling, all while delivering outstanding customer service. We are a full service Dog Daycare and Boarding Facility, this allows a streamline of potential customers all months of the year here in the Coachella Valley.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to identify any health issues or concerns.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Assist in pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or supervising pets as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pet grooming techniques and breed-specific styles.
- Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable.
- Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus.
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safe interactions with pets.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for safety.

Pay: $26.05 - $31.37 per hour
