Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Prepare a variety of food items in accordance with safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and quality expectations.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with food safety practices such as proper food handling, storage, and adhering to health regulations.
- Support food industry operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring quick service in a fast-food or café setting.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, preferably within quick service or fast-food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that encourages repeat visits.
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time in a busy setting.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totals.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
