Vet-Blue LLC is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee grounds maintenance operations at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Tennessee under a federal government contract. This is a leadership-level field position responsible for crew supervision, contract compliance, and coordination with cemetery staff. You will serve as the primary on-site representative of Vet-Blue LLC, ensuring all grounds work is executed professionally, respectfully, and in full accordance with contract specifications at a National Cemetery that honors the service of America's Veterans.
Key responsibilities
Contract compliance
Ensure all grounds maintenance work — including mowing, trimming, edging, and site cleanup — is performed in strict accordance with federal contract specifications at all times.
Crew supervision
Directly supervise all field crew members, maintaining proper conduct, workflow accountability, and consistent work quality throughout each shift.
Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance to irrigation systems
Requirements
-Minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience in grounds maintenance operations
-Proven experience overseeing mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup at industrial, commercial, or public sites
-Must be fluent in English (spoken and written) — federal contract requirement
-Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to coordinate with cemetery management and federal personnel
-High degree of professionalism and genuine respect for the solemnity of a National Cemetery
-Reliable transportation to Fort Mitchell, AL; must be present on-site whenever work is being performed
Preferred qualifications
-Prior experience on federal, military, or VA grounds maintenance contracts
-Experience managing crews in a cemetery, memorial, or other sensitive ceremonial environment
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for crew communication
-Irrigation maintenance experience
