Position Summary: It Works Learning Center is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented CNA-I Program Coordinator to oversee the daily administration, coordination, and successful operation of our Nursing Assistant training programs. The successful candidate will serve as a central point of contact for students, instructors, clinical partners, employers, grant agencies, and regulatory organizations. This position is responsible for coordinating class starts, managing student records, ensuring compliance with Maryland Board of Nursing requirements, tracking attendance and testing requirements, supporting instructors, and assisting students throughout their training experience. The position requires periodic travel to classroom locations throughout Maryland to support in-person class starts, orientations, clinical activities, hiring events, and program operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate CNA-I program enrollment.
- Manage student onboarding, enrollment, and orientation processes.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Track attendance, clinical hours, testing requirements, and program completion.
- Ensure compliance with Maryland Board of Nursing requirements and company policies.
- Coordinate class schedules, instructor assignments, and classroom logistics.
- Serve as a liaison between students, instructors, employers, grant providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist students with program requirements, scheduling, and resource referrals.
- Coordinate and support in-person class starts and orientations at training locations.
- Travel to classroom sites as needed to support instructors, students, and program operations.
- Assist with state audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance reporting.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation for management and funding agencies.
- Participate in community outreach, recruitment activities, and hiring events.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, graduates, employers, and community partners.
- Supervise program activities and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College Degree required.
- Minimum five (5) years of program management, educational administration, healthcare program coordination, or related management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience maintaining confidential records and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel to training locations and events throughout Maryland.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare training programs.
- Experience with workforce development or grant-funded programs.
- Knowledge of Maryland Board of Nursing requirements and healthcare education standards.
- Experience working with adult learners and diverse student populations.
- Experience with student information systems, compliance tracking, and reporting requirements.
