The Admissions Consultant will assist in converting enrollment inquiries to qualified applicants at Regent University. This position is a sales-driven role in a blended inbound and outbound call center. The position will demonstrate effective professional communication and extraordinary customer service while managing prospective students and general inquiries of Regent University.
Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA [capability of remote work in case of inclement weather]
Essential duties:
- Represent Regent University as a general recruiter for all undergraduate and graduate school programs.
- Advise prospective students on program fit and admissions requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge on all student-related resources, including admissions processes, financial aid, costs, transfer guidelines, licensure guidelines, military benefits, and other pertinent information.
- Maintain a high volume of outbound phone calls, receive inbound calls, and maintain comprehensive, confidential student records through the correct use of technology.
- Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each term as determined by Enrollment Management leadership while adhering to dynamic, internal work processes.
- Coordinate and participate in admissions and recruitment events.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years customer service, sales and/or telemarketing experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends including rotating Saturdays and second shift (12pm-9pm)
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from work in a timely manner
- Competence and ability to be trained in technology including Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Suite and phone systems, and the ability to multi-task within these systems, including a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
