American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract in a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and at least 1 year of echo experience.

Non-Invasive Cardiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
-
Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction

4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Saturday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Saturday shifts may be full or half day based on hospital needs)

On-call shifts every 4 weeks, including holiday call coverage

Epic EMR used for charting

RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required

Active AHA BLS certification required; must not expire prior to assignment start

Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography/cardiac sonography required

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred

Epic EMR experience required

License required if applicable

DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis

Reviews patient history, selects appropriate protocols, positions patients, and ensures quality diagnostic imaging

Coordinates preparation of images and documentation for physician review

Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, and maintains supply inventory

Participates in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow

Transports patients as needed

Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
