Job Summary: The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing general construction operations of ground up construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in ground-up construction, leading and completing projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors and city and county officials.
Work with county, town and other on required permitting.
Work with local utilities to set up temporary and permanent services.
Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
Manage the work performed to ensure it conforms to the contract documents.
Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues.
Complete accurate job and progress reports and other related project documentation.
Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality.
Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work. Identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
Provide daily correspondence to the Head of Operations related to progress and performance.
Maintain professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum of 8 years of custom homebuilding experience.
Production homebuilding experience.
Background or experience in Land Development.
Experience in a supervisory/managerial role managing and leading a team.
Minimum of 4-5 years as a Field Supervisor overseeing ground up, new construction projects.
Skilled in construction-related computer software, as well as Microsoft Office.
Valid Driver's License.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Thorough understanding of homebuilding process, specifically roofing.
Thorough understanding of construction industry safety and health laws, regulations and policies.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
While performing the duties the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use arms and hands to reach. Climb and/or balance as needed.
Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction site in various types of weather.
