Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating young minds and creating a positive learning environment.
Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the school's Abeka curriculum
- Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote student participation and engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student development
- Assess student progress through various methods including standardized testing and observation
- Provide additional support to students requiring extra help or special education services
- Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote overall well-being
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field, OR
- State teaching certification or licensure;
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques and mentoring students;
- Familiarity with the Abeka curriculum;
- Strong ability to educate using various teaching methods and tools
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and strategies
- Background in physical education or tutoring is beneficial
