Responsibilities
- Perform tattooing and piercing procedures with precision, artistry, and attention to detail, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Consult with clients to understand their design ideas, offering expert advice on placement, size, color, and style to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and sterile workspace by following strict sanitation protocols, including sterilizing equipment and disposing of waste properly.
- Manage client appointments efficiently, providing excellent customer service from initial consultation through aftercare guidance.
- Promote studio services through engaging communication, upselling relevant products such as aftercare items or jewelry when appropriate.
- Keep accurate records of each procedure, including consent forms, design sketches, and aftercare instructions.
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and safety regulations to continuously improve skills and studio standards.
- Must have or be in the process of getting DPH Certification.
Skills
- Proven experience in tattooing and piercing with a strong portfolio demonstrating artistic talent and technical proficiency.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices aligned with health department regulations to ensure client safety.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively listen to clients’ needs and explain procedures clearly.
- Ability to manage store operations efficiently, including scheduling appointments and maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Basic first aid knowledge for handling minor injuries or complications during procedures.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and foster repeat business.
- Understanding of color theory and illustration techniques to create vibrant, eye-catching designs.
- Sales skills to recommend appropriate jewelry or aftercare products that enhance client satisfaction.

Pay: $44,002.16 - $52,991.85 per year
