Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to providing high-quality food service in a fast-paced setting. The pay is $5 per hour, plus tips!!!
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking various ingredients.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Serve meals to customers or clients in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Handle food items safely according to food handling regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, ovens, grills, and other culinary tools safely and effectively.
- Support catering events by preparing food items as needed and assisting with setup and cleanup.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers positively.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and helping others through quality food service is essential.
