Assembly Manager
We're seeking a hands-on Assembly Manager to lead our assembly and fabrication operations in a custom machinery manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader who enjoys mentoring technicians while remaining actively involved on the shop floor.
What You'll Do

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five assembly technicians.

Oversee the daily operations of the assembly and fabrication departments.

Remain hands-on by supporting equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and complex machine builds approximately 25% of the time.

Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure materials, drawings, and resources are available.

Monitor workflow, staffing, and production progress to maximize efficiency.

Review mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions for accuracy before production.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building custom automation equipment, industrial machinery, or engineered-to-order systems.

Mechanical and electrical assembly experience, with electrical troubleshooting experience highly preferred.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles.

Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
