Job Description:
You will manage a high volume of residential real estate transactions, from contract negotiation to closing. You will work closely with clients, other attorneys, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective representation throughout each matter. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in real estate law, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage residential real estate transactions from inception to closing, including contract negotiation, due diligence, title review, and coordination with lenders, agents, and other parties.
- Advise clients on a broad range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, sales, leases, financing, land use, zoning, and title issues.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to real estate transactions.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and external professionals, including brokers, appraisers, and surveyors.
- Attend closings and provide post-closing support as needed.
- Manage a high caseload while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in New York.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience handling residential and commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong understanding of real estate laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle a large caseload with exceptional organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with title searches, surveys, and closings is a plus.
