Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and administrative support, ensuring efficient office operations and a positive patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for dental services.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing(Willing to train).
- Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist patients with care plans and answer any questions regarding their treatment.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office workflow.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for patient procedures.
- Assist the dentist during various dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow.
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments following infection control protocols.
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and general oral hygiene practices.
Requirements
- Experience or externship experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within dental office.
- Familiarity with dental terminology is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Experience with documentation review, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficient in office management software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
