Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Host / Food Runner / Busser to join our team. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression for guests, supporting efficient food delivery from kitchen to table, and maintaining a clean, organized dining environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced setting, and is committed to providing excellent guest service.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
- Manage waitlists and seating charts efficiently
- Answer phones and assist with reservations or guest inquiries
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus
- Communicate guest needs and seating updates to servers and managers
- Deliver food accurately and promptly from kitchen to guests
- Ensure food presentation and order accuracy before leaving kitchen
- Assist servers with table maintenance and guest requests as needed
- Clear and reset tables quickly and properly
- Refill water, assist with service station tasks, and support front-of-house flow
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room, host stand, restrooms, and service areas
- Stock service stations with necessary supplies
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and restaurant procedures
- Work collaboratively with hosts, servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to stand, walk, lift trays/bus tubs, and move quickly for extended periods
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
