I run an alterations and tailoring business across Gold Coast and Winnetka, with a focus on bridal work, and I'm overflowing with customers right now. Looking for an experienced seamstress/tailor to take on overflow work on a contract basis, bridal gowns, suits, general alterations, all of it.
What I need:
- Real experience is a MUST, especially with bridal gowns: hemming, taking in/letting out, bustling, bodice work
- Comfortable with delicate fabrics (lace, satin, tulle, boning)
- Also comfortable with general tailoring (suits, pants, dresses) — bridal experience covers most of this already
- Your own workspace and equipment
- Portfolio or photos of past work required (bridal work especially, if you have it)
This is flexible, appointment-based contract work, you set your own hours. I will send you steady work, I can't take on more jobs myself right now.
