Lead Retail Associate
Galena Apothecary is a retail boutique located on Galena’s historic Main Street that specializes in high-quality personal care products, accessories and jewelry.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused professional to lead our daily operations. You must have a welcoming and friendly personality and a willingness to maintain the spirit and integrity of the business. The ideal candidate will exemplify excellent customer service and appreciate the quality of the products we offer.
Primary Responsibilities include :
- Ensuring operational standards are maintained throughout the store including inventory, backstock, communications and scheduling.
- Maintaining and executing on a seasonal calendar to keep displays, ordering and Social Media current.
- Making continued recommendations to improve customer experience, sales and operations.
- Assisting customers with questions and sales; mastering product knowledge in order to confidently make recommendations.
- Operating our POS System (Square); opening and closing procedures; restocking and intake of incoming merchandise; keeping the shop clean and tidy. Special projects as assigned.
- Assisting with training new team members.
Requirements :
- An ideal applicant would have previous retail experience. A background in a creative field is a plus, but not required.
- 35-40 hours per week including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 30 lbs.
