Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building interior systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control and energy efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain facilities equipment by inspecting, repairing, painting, and performing general building interior maintenance.
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues with electrical work or plumbing systems accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents and ensuring minimal disruption.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), including electrical work, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC repair, and building interior upkeep.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by skills in welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and facilities maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with electrical equipment repair is a plus.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and assist residents or clients.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working with HVAC systems or plumbing systems is highly valued.
