Position Overview
Spectate Group, part of the Nicholas Family of Companies, is seeking Rink Attendants to join our team at our ice arenas in Mount Prospect, Rosemont, and Elk Grove Village.
Rink Attendants play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our facilities. They are responsible for supporting the ice surface and facility grounds while delivering excellent customer service during public skating sessions, hockey games, private rentals, and special events.
In addition to general facility upkeep, Rink Attendants perform light maintenance, assist with building operations, monitor safety conditions, and support crowd management during high-traffic events and on-ice programs. These team members help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and positive experience for every guest who visits our arenas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform ice resurfacing using a Zamboni.
- Provide building supervision and ensure overall safety of guests and staff.
- Maintain crowd control during on-ice activities and large events.
- Perform routine custodial and light maintenance duties as assigned.
- Prepare and clear event spaces, including equipment setup and removal.
- Provide scorekeeping services for adult league games.
- Follow all safety and security procedures and protocols.
- Assist renters and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Participate in snow removal operations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, including the Rink Attendant Team Lead, Facilities Manager, or Director of Facilities.
Qualifications
- Experience with ice resurfacing and general rink maintenance.
- Knowledge of housekeeping, ice maintenance, and facility operations.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to support daily operational needs and team initiatives.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Pay: $45,000.00 per year
