Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Awning Installer, Fabricator, and Welder to join our dynamic team. This multifaceted role combines hands-on installation, precise fabrication, and expert welding to create high-quality awnings and metal structures. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to accurately fabricate and assemble awnings and related structures
- Measure materials using measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication according to specifications
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials utilizing plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment
- Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas).
- Fabricate components in the shop environment with a focus on quality control, safety protocol adherence, and efficient workflow
- Install awnings on-site using rigging techniques, pipe threading, crane operation assistance when necessary, and ensuring proper alignment.
- Maintain safety standards at all times by following safety protocols during fabrication and installation processes
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with knowledge of building safety procedures
- Hands-on fabrication shop experience working with sheet metal and metal fabrication processes
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and mechanical blueprints for fabrication and assembly tasks
- Experience operating rigging equipment, power tools, measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, as well as machining tools
- Familiarity with welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and pipe threading
- Mechanical knowledge of metal materials used in awning fabrication and structural components
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
