Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assembly/Soldering Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Sylmar, CA, supporting precision aerospace and defense manufacturing. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician with strong hand soldering, electromechanical assembly, cable assembly, and inspection experience in a quality-driven production environment.
The Assembly/Soldering Technician will work with precision electronic and mechanical components used in aerospace applications, following work instructions, engineering drawings, IPC standards, and quality procedures. This is a strong opportunity for candidates who value clean manufacturing environments, high-quality workmanship, supportive production teams, and the stability of working in a regulated aerospace setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble aerospace electronic and electromechanical components according to work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface mount components in accordance with IPC workmanship standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, Bills of Materials, and related production documentation.
- Route, strip, crimp, terminate, and assemble wires, cables, harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, and mechanical subassemblies.
- Perform visual inspections, in-process checks, rework, repairs, and basic troubleshooting to support product quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow ESD, safety, quality, and clean manufacturing procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour.
