Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations, utilizing your physiology and psychology knowledge.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines such as internal medicine, behavioral health, and social work to develop integrated care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks, maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Participate in case management activities, discharge planning, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a PA-C with current state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such ECW
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals, clinics, or community health programs.
- Familiarity with diagnostic coding systems including ICD-10/ICD-9 for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate care in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or trauma centers.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
