Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator
Morris, IL | $30.00 - $40.00/HR Temporary Assignment (Approximately 6-8 Weeks) | 1st Shift
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a confidential client in Morris, IL seeking an experienced Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator to provide coverage during a temporary staffing gap. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, independent professional with inventory management experience who can step in and make an immediate impact.
This position works within a power generation/industrial facility and requires someone who is comfortable operating with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating purchases, and supporting warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities

Issue and track purchase orders for parts, materials, and supplies.

Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system.

Receive, count, verify, and properly store incoming materials.

Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Organize warehouse stock and ensure materials are stored in correct locations.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.

Utilize inventory management software and Excel to track inventory activity.

Sort, filter, and analyze inventory data using Microsoft Excel.

Coordinate materials and inventory needs with operations and maintenance personnel.

Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Support warehouse and field operations as needed.

Operate forklifts when necessary, including narrow aisle and outdoor forklift equipment.
Qualifications
-
Previous inventory control, warehouse coordination, materials management, or storeroom experience required.

Experience working within an inventory management system required.

Experience with Maximo strongly preferred.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and data management.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience in industrial, power generation, manufacturing, maintenance, or skilled trades environments preferred.

Previous forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to walk throughout the warehouse and facility.

Ability to lift, move, and organize materials as needed.

Comfortable working in both warehouse and outdoor environments.

Forklift operation is required less than 25% of the time.
