Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling, billing, and processing payments accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food industry operations such as serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, and basic math for cash handling
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus to better understand menu items and food preparation processes
- Must have previous serving experience
- Washing Dishes is a must for most shifts.
