Job Summary:
As an Auto Parts Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering auto parts to customers in Northern New Jersey. You will ensure that deliveries are made safely and on time, verify orders, and assist customers with their needs, including processing payments and returns. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining the vehicle and ensuring that all delivery processes comply with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Timely Deliveries: Ensure customer orders are delivered promptly and safely.
- Order Verification: Check parts loaded into the van to match customer orders accurately.
- Smart Phone: You must have a working smartphone to complete deliveries on our delviery app.
- Unload and Confirm: Ensure correct parts are unloaded and delivered as ordered.
- Payment Collection: Collect payments (cash and checks) as per sales orders.
- Returns Processing: Handle customer returns, ensuring accurate and neat RGA paperwork.
- Safe Driving: Follow all company driving policies, including state laws, to ensure safety.
- Commercial Vehicle Parking: You must be able to safely park a commercial vehicle . The type of vehicles are Ford Transit, Nissan NV1500, Ram ProMaster, GMC/Chevrolet Express cargo van.
- Paperwork Compliance: Adhere to company policies regarding delivery documentation and payment handling.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform weekly pre-trip inspections every Monday and keep the delivery van clean and free of trash/food.
- Geographic Flexibility: Able to work in various areas of New Jersey.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License: Minimum of 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
- Vehicle Handling: Ability to drive a full-size Ford, Chevy, or Nissan van.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of handling heavy lifting and managing deliveries.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent service under pressure.
- Location Flexibility: Able to work in all areas of New Jersey.
