Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga Instructor (Level 1) to join our dynamic fitness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in yoga practices and a desire to inspire and guide students on their wellness journey. This role requires excellent teaching skills, a solid understanding of body mechanics, and the ability to create engaging and effective yoga classes that cater to various skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging yoga classes that promote physical fitness, relaxation, and mindfulness.
- Develop and implement class plans that incorporate various yoga styles while ensuring safety and proper alignment.
- Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate students of different abilities and experience levels.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages participation and community among students.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other fitness instructors to create integrated programs that may include kickboxing, cycling, Pilates, or group fitness classes.
- Promote health club offerings through fitness sales initiatives and encourage student retention through personalized attention.
Qualifications
- Certification in yoga instruction is required; additional certifications in related fields such as Pilates, strength training, or personal training are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and program design relevant to fitness training.
- Experience in teaching group fitness classes or coaching sports is preferred.
- Familiarity with various fitness modalities including CrossFit, dancing, or gym activities is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
