This position requires the incumbent to have previous experience in dispatching and DOT compliance. You will be dispatching approximately 17 fuel trucks and service calls. Communication and being a team player is a must!
Job Essential Functions & Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Will have a key role in dispatching and DOT compliance
- Monitors and support the daily truck dispatching and DOT support.
- Schedule drivers to deliver fuel loads to customers.
- Schedule and communicate with customers and drivers from central dispatch.
- Develop delivery routes and maintain daily contact with drivers from central dispatch.
- Act as a communication liaison between drivers and customers.
- Supports and monitors trucks daily for DOT compliance.
- May act as back-up for the Operations during scheduled/unscheduled absences.
- Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by management.
- Strong organizational/time management skills and attention to details
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with different departments
Job Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in the use of PC equipment and software including Windows and MS Office products
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-starter/motivated, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure, handle stress and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- 2 years of operational experience
