The Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time faculty members to join the Interventional Radiology Division.

The health system includes two Joint Commission–certified Comprehensive Stroke Centers, an NCI-designated Moores Comprehensive Cancer Center, a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, a Level IV Epilepsy Center, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and a Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease.
The UC San Diego Department of Radiology is one of the most innovative and productive academic departments in the country, offering state-of-the-art services for clinical and translational research. The Interventional Radiology Division provides the full spectrum of minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for a wide range of conditions, including cancer and vascular disease. Utilizing advanced imaging technologies such as X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, our interventional radiologists perform procedures with exceptional precision and faster recovery times. The Division’s faculty are actively involved in clinical care across UC San Diego Health sites, contribute to cutting-edge research, and participate in leadership roles within the health system and the broader medical community. Their expertise ensures that patients receive comprehensive care that integrates the latest advancements in interventional radiology.
The selected candidates will be responsible for providing expert clinical care, actively participating in the teaching and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contributing to research initiatives that advance the field of radiology.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
