Duties
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables promptly, and maintaining a tidy dining environment.
- Support food handling and preparation activities as needed, including basic food safety management and adhering to proper food handling protocols.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and correctly to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning routines, including sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
- Support catering and banquet service by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
- Follow all food safety standards during dishwashing, cleaning, and food handling processes to uphold health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred; familiarity with food service environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and basic food handling practices.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Experience with dishwashing equipment or commercial kitchen cleaning is advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork skills; able to support food service staff during busy periods such as catering or banquet events.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.
