Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, to and from the roller rink, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all passengers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus or paratransit vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle through regular inspections and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance as needed and addressing any concerns.
- Manage passenger behavior to ensure a respectful and safe environment throughout the journey.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking.
- Document daily activities, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving is a must.
- Familiarity with school bus driving is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with children, or in childcare settings is highly valued.
- Customer service experience is essential, demonstrating the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
