Overview
I need someone driven, entrepreneurial, and with experience in the industry of construction/interior design. This position requires someone to spearhead the expansion and operational excellence of our interior design franchise network in their targeted region. This is a commission pay job. If you are not a hard worker, and you do not have confidence in your abilities, then do not apply for this position. In this role, you will learn our tried and perfected systems and processes. Then, you will use that to drive business development, oversee franchise performance, and ensure the delivery of exceptional interior design solutions that inspire clients and elevate brand standards. Your leadership will shape the future of our franchise community, fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth at every level.
You will need to be especially good at relationship building. Your job will involve reaching out to builders and contractors, asking for their business, and explaining the value of our process and style.
Duties
- Lead a team of designers, backed by IBD firm HQ staff.
- Oversee franchise operations, ensuring adherence to brand standards, quality control, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
- Collaborate with franchise owners to develop comprehensive business plans that include sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide guidance on interior design project management, including drafting, space planning, lighting sales, remodeling, new construction, staging, home furnishing, and construction processes, all using HouzzPro (a software similar to Revitt, Sketchup, and Trello.)
- Form relationships with builders in the area to acquire jobs.
- Monitor financial performance by managing budgets related to lighting design projects, remodeling initiatives, and renovation contracts; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate ongoing training on industry best practices including color theory, drafting standards, contract negotiations, and project management to elevate team capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with legal contracts and construction regulations across all projects within your region.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in interior design or architecture with a strong background in relationship formation, leadership, HouzzPro (or similar), construction industry.
- Demonstrated success in franchise or multi-unit leadership roles with a focus on business development and operational oversight.
- Expertise in project management methodologies with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including HouzzPro or related.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiating contracts and leading cross-functional teams across diverse regions.
- Ability to analyze financial data related to budgets for lighting sales, remodeling projects, and renovation contracts; adept at implementing cost-effective strategies.
- Knowledge of legal frameworks surrounding contracts within the interior design industry is highly desirable.
