Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Estimator / Project Manager to join our team and lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of civil construction projects. This role combines estimating expertise with project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction experience, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a passion for managing complex projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications, utilizing tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid, Oman systems.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of civil construction projects, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Review construction drawings thoroughly to interpret technical details and identify potential cost implications or design issues early in the process.
- Develop detailed project budgets by estimating material requirements, labor costs, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes based on blueprints and technical documents.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project progress regularly, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines through effective cost management and project oversight.
- Conduct site visits to gather real-time data, oversee construction activities, and verify that work aligns with plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues promptly, mitigate risks, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all estimating activities, project changes, and communications for transparency and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing civil construction projects as an estimator or project manager with a strong background in construction estimating.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup; experience with HeavyBid for bid management; familiarity with Oman ProEstimate is a plus.
- Deep understanding of construction drawing review, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of cost management techniques including cost control, budgeting, and estimating construction project budgets.
- Hands-on construction site experience coupled with solid construction management skills to oversee project execution effectively.
- Familiarity with contracts, project management principles, and managing multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
