Description
The Waldinger Corporation, a growing, 100+ year-old leader in construction and MEP services, is adding a Senior Accountant, Acquisitions & Integrations to our corporate accounting team in Des Moines. Waldinger is actively expanding through acquisitions — and every new entity that joins the company needs a steady, sharp accounting hand to bring it into the fold. That's where you come in.
Why You'll Love This Role
This isn't a close-the-books-and-repeat role. You'll sit at the center of Waldinger's growth strategy, working directly with newly acquired businesses to align their financial processes with ours — which means real variety, real visibility, and a direct line of sight into how the company scales. You'll partner across finance, operations, HR, payroll, tax, and IT, building relationships and influence well beyond the accounting department. And because acquisitions never look exactly the same twice, you'll be solving new problems and building new processes on a regular basis, not just maintaining an existing system.
What You'll Do
-
Lead Acquisition Integrations: Guide newly acquired businesses through accounting transition and integration, standardizing financial processes so every entity reports the same way.
-

-

-
Build Cross-Functional Partnerships: Work closely with finance, operations, payroll, tax, HR, and IT to coordinate projects and support change management from planning through completion.
