Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles. Your primary focus will be on safely transporting goods across designated routes while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across diverse routes, including local and long-haul deliveries.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Transport refrigerated goods, flatbed cargo, tankers, or other specialized freight while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal condition and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and freight details in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Follow designated delivery routes precisely, managing route driving responsibilities with efficiency and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any route adjustments needed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL license with endorsements for tanker, flatbed, or refrigerated trailer as applicable.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience involving load & unload operations.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with freight handling equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus.
- Ability to drive safely for extended periods and manage route driving responsibilities responsibly.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transport.
